Hakkımızda
Our Story
The year was 1993. A young girl, a sociology student at Boğaziçi University, decided that what she had done so far was not enough in the face of income inequality, poverty, and the material and spiritual hardships faced by many, and the indifference of the society around her.

Since elementary school, she had been delivering necessities such as food, clothing, and books to those in need through her own efforts. During high school, she supported those in need by giving private lessons and using the money she earned. She spread the word about her charity work and continuously sent blankets and winter clothing to the Eastern provinces of Turkey. In her first year at university, she prepared a brochure to promote spreading kindness. Surprisingly, the people she helped started distributing this brochure on the streets. As a result, the movement of kindness gained more recognition, making her both very happy and motivating her to help even more people.

Founded on the slogan "You may not need it, but they do," AIP Foundation volunteers started tirelessly sending aid to people in hard-to-reach areas of Turkey. Over time, as the foundation's success gained attention from the media and the public, the number of volunteers and donors rapidly increased.

The story of our foundation, which has beautified thousands of lives in Turkey and around the world over the years, began when our founder,  Ebru Nurluoğlu, PhD, realized her dream during her student years.
